Nature is infinitely amazing.  I embrace and am awed by the mysteries, splendor, power, and constant flux of the natural environment.  Nature can be cool and sweet.  She can be stark and barren.  She can be tumultuous and frightening.  Nature is sometimes serene and gentle.  And at times inviting and warm.  But she can also be frigid and harsh.  Or cataclysmic and destructive.

My photography attempts to capture simple snapshots, whispered moments, of this dynamic, incredibly complex, diverse world in which we live and share with all other life on this amazing blue space rock we call Earth.

I've included some of my favorite photos from around the world and from my own back yard, such as the photo at right.  I took the photo with my iPhone from my front yard during a full moon as clouds scudded past.  I could feel the dynamic power of the wind pushing the wispy clouds across the night sky.  I was pleasantly surprised to discover the small blue-green image in the photo's lower center to remind me of the marvel of Earth viewed from space.
