Pen, ink, and pencil are the most basic art media that an artist can easily carry, transport, and use nearly anywhere. All that is needed is a single drawing instrument and some type of blank drawing surface. I like to use this media as a way to doodle - pure play - maybe sketching a simple landscape scene or random abstract images just to pass the time. Nothing serious.
