CCL exists to create the political will for climate solutions by enabling individual breakthroughs in the exercise of personal and political power.  CCL is a non-profit, nonpartisan, grassroots advocacy organization comprised of volunteers across the USA focused on national policies to address climate change.

CCL empowers everyday people to work together on climate change solutions. Our supporters are organized in more than 400 local chapters across the United States. Together we’re building support in Congress for a national bipartisan solution to climate change.

CCL is:

Non-partisan – We welcome anyone who is serious about solving climate change as a volunteer. And we work with members of Congress across the political spectrum to find common ground on climate change solutions.

Relationship-driven – We build consensus through respectful relationships with others. That’s because we believe that relationships based on mutual respect and understanding are what will bring lasting change. We’re always willing to continue the conversation.

Effective – Our supporters make meaningful contributions every day that drive our mission forward, whether it’s building relationships with their members of Congress, local businesses, media and more. CCL provides training and tools to help you maximize your skills.

Big Solution – We know climate change is a big problem. We stay focused on a national, legislative solution that will reduce America’s emissions, fast.

CCL uses a consistently respectful, nonpartisan approach to climate education designed to create a broad, sustainable foundation for climate action across all geographic regions and political inclinations. By building upon shared values rather than partisan divides, and empowering our supporters to work in keeping with the concerns of their local communities, we work towards the adoption of fair, effective, and sustainable climate change solutions.

In order to generate the political will necessary for passage of the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act, CCL trains and supports volunteers to build relationships with elected officials, the media, and their local businesses and community.
