The idea for this piece came to me after viewing an exhibition of modern abstract expressionistpaintings. I wanted to explore the idea of using the hard media of art glass to create an abstract painting of geometric angles and shapes designed to project a sense of explosive movement, expansion, and complexity. I’ve included a photos of my initial pattern, the work-in-progress, and finished panel, as well as a copy of the original digital design sketch created on my iPad using an app named Painter (shown at right).
